West Covina, CA – Henri Chinchilla Killed in Traffic Wreck on 10 Fwy near Barranca St off-ramp
West Covina, CA (June 8, 2022) – A car wreck on a freeway in West Covina took one life on the morning of Saturday, June 5. At approximately 4:26 a.m., officers with the California Highway Patrol responded to the scene with paramedics.
Reports show that the incident happened on the San Bernardino Freeway near the off-ramp from Barranca Street. According to information provided by officials, one man, identified as Henri Chinchilla, age 52, was killed in the wreck.
Several vehicles were involved including a red Honda Civic, a tan Nissan Altima, and a minivan. Several lanes of traffic were blocked after the collision occurred.
Witnesses reported that a body was lying in the fourth lane of the freeway among much debris from the accident. Chinchilla was pronounced deceased on-site by paramedics.
The freeway was closed for several hours while responders were in the area. Police continue to investigate the details of the incident.
