Long Beach, CA – Pickup Truck Crashes into House on Rose St, Kills Man & Child
Long Beach, CA (March 2, 2022) – Police in Long Beach say a pickup truck crashed into a house on a street in Long Beach on Wednesday, March 2, killing a 42-year-old man and his 3-year-old daughter. The pickup truck then fled the scene.
Authorities are currently searching for the driver of the truck. The accident reportedly occurred on Rose Street in the early morning hours of March 2. The impact was so forceful that the truck ended up in the bedroom on the other side of the wall where the 3-year-old girl was sleeping.
Police believe that speed was a contributing factor. The driver of the truck was described as a man in his 20s.
The 3-year-old girl was taken to a local hospital for treatment. However, she lost her life shortly after arriving. Her father was pronounced deceased on-site.
Police are currently investigating the details of the wreck.
We would like to offer our sincere condolences to the family of the deceased victims at this time.
California Car Wrecks
Every month, more than 325 people lose their lives in motor vehicle accidents across the state of California. These accidents are often caused by drivers who engage in reckless actions while operating their vehicles. Although we can take action to prevent others from being harmed by us, we cannot control how other motorists are going to act. As a result, we see many people lose their lives in crashes caused by drivers who speed, run red lights, and fail to yield the right of way.
When victims lose their lives in motor vehicle accidents, they often leave behind family members who are forced to deal with mental and emotional consequences. To make matters even more difficult to endure, families are often forced to spend tens of thousands of dollars on burial costs, funeral expenses, and other financial burdens while enduring lost earnings.
In some cases, families can recover compensation that they can use to cover these and other expenses they face after losing loved ones in auto accidents. By reaching out to our wrongful death lawyers in California, we can discuss your loved one’s accident and determine what legal options are available for you.
